Separation

Have you ever found yourself in the middle of the night sweating like a pig and thirsty like a camel? Old people believe that during night time your spirit is trying to explore the outside world while you are sleeping and when you wake up in the middle of the night sweating and thirsty it means that your soul has separated from your body. What do you think will happen to you if your soul did not come back from your body?

CASE No. 1: Dirt

It was a cold chilly night when Ashley woke up from her sleep. It was an hour past 12 when she felt an urge to drink a cold glass of water. She went downstairs and drank water. As she was about to place the glass on the sink she saw someone walking at her garden. Thinking that it was the said pranksters who destroy lawn yards so she went outside to scold them. To her surprise, she saw herself looking straight at her with a grin on her face. She screamed as if she saw a ghost and ran upstairs to her bedroom. That morning she woke up. “Damn! What a bad dream! Phew! Good thing it was not real” As soon as she stepped her foot out on the floor, her eyes opened up widely as she saw dirt in her feet.

CASE No. 2: Chemical

Bryan, a student from a popular university stayed at his chemistry laboratory with a few school mates. They have a project to finish up that night. It was already 11pm when his friends decided to eat noodles at a nearby noodle shop but Bryan, being a hard working leader of the group, stayed at the laboratory to finish a few foot notes for the term paper. He sat in front of the computer and fell asleep. Not long he woke up from his sleep due to a noise coming from inside the chemical closet. He checked it out and opened it. Nothing unusual so he went back to the chair. He slowly turned his back and saw himself hang up the ceiling. That morning Bryan died over natural causes.

CASE no. 3: Movie night

It was Valentine’s Day and Alfred and Jade had a plan of watching a movie at Alfred’s apartment. They were planning this event for over 3 months. Alfred told Jade to go on to the apartment first because he still needs to buy food and drinks for this special event. Jade went on and prepare the movie and cleaned up the bed area. Not long, Alfred went in and sat beside her. It was almost 2am when the two started watching the movie. Jade went to the bathroom and saw a note on one of Alfred’s desk saying “Jade can you be my girl?” Jade blushed as she went and stared at Alfred then her phone rang. As she answered the phone, her heart starts to pound heavily. Leaving her friend on hold saying “Jade! Where are you? Alfred had an accident! He fell asleep while riding the bus on the way there!”

These are only a few examples of the said “separation” of the soul and the body. So beware and be careful in waking up in the middle of night. You will never know who you will see in front of you.
